BERLIN TATTOO CREW ~Sylvia Plath~ Wear your heart on your skin in this life.

My name is Dionysis Xenos.

I had my first contact with the tattoo art in 1992, when I got my first tattoo in Jimmy’s now historic studio in Plaka. I was 12 years old, and after much effort and pleasing I finally convinced Grandpa Jimmy and he made a dragon on my chest.

Since then I was sure I wanted to get into the art of tattooing.

I made my first attempts in 1996 at the age of 16. Improvised motors, chinese ink, sewing needles and many other crazy inventions. In 2000 I completed my military service and I started looking seriously for someone to teach me the art of tattooing. So that’ s how I got to the great teacher Andreas Marnezos known to everyone as Lektikos. I stayed there for two years and after learning the basics I went to Rhodes to a tattoo studio for a season. Then I went to the historic tattoo studio in Omonia, Underground tattoo, where I stayed for five years. It was the strongest experience for me on all levels. Omonia Square … big school.

But the time came when I wanted to do something of my own. So, I opened the Berlin tattoo in Agia Paraskevi in 2007. From then until today I continue to make tattoos with the same love and enthusiasm I had when I started.

All these years I have done millions of tattoos, I have taught over 20 people who excel in Greece and Europe. Along with my studio in Agia Paraskevi I opened 3 more studios because I always wanted to help young people do something in their lives. Of course I never heard a single “thank you” but this is another story…

My philosophy as a human being is not to belong anywhere and stay away from clicques. That is why you will never see me in any Greek tattoo festival and other such festivals.

If you really want to see who I am as an artist, but also as a person you can visit my studio.
